The Hawaii Tobacco Quitline is being paid for by the Hawaii Tobacco Prevention & Control Trust Fund using funds that were received as part of a settlement with the tobacco industry.

The trained professionals or Quit Coaches at the Hawaii Tobacco Quitline can give you the support you are looking for. They’ve helped thousands of smokers break the addiction.

The Hawaii Tobacco Quitline is a telephone service for anyone who wants to quit smoking. It’s a confidential, free service that gives callers advice and help that is personalized for their particular needs.

When you call 1-800-QUIT NOW our specially trained Quit Coaches will talk story with you to learn how they can best support your goal of living tobacco free. The Quit Coaches can speak with you about any quitting issues like planning to quit and coping with withdrawal symptoms. They can also talk with you about different types of quitting products and methods that may be right for you, including nicotine patches, gum, inhalers, lozenge and nicotine free pills.

The Hawaii Tobacco Quitline also has a callback service, where a Quit Coach will call you around your scheduled quit date to make sure you have the support you need to quit and stay quit. These calls are made on an individual basis and at convenient times for you. The callback service is completely confidential, and doesn’t cost you anything.

Yes. No matter where you are statewide, you can call our toll-free number and receive free referrals and coaching support from the Quitline.

Yes, if you enroll in Hawaii Tobacco Quitline, you will receive a printed Quit Guide that is relevant to where you are in the quitting process, The Quit Guide is full of information to help you get ready to quit, quit successfully and stay quit for good. It includes information on:

  • Making the decision to quit
  • How to get ready to quit
  • Knowing what to expect while you’re quitting
  • How to cope with withdrawal symptoms and stress
  • How to ask friends, family and co-workers for support
  • How to avoid relapses

All our Quit Coaches are very experienced at helping people over the phone. Each Quit Coach has completed comprehensive training in tobacco cessation and knows the latest methods to successfully quit tobacco. They are understanding and supportive because they know how hard it is to quit. They are never judgmental and they are here specifically to help you quit successfully.

The Hawaii call center is open 7 days a week from 3 a.m. - 9 p.m. If you would like to call after hours, leave a message and a Quit Coach will call you back.

The Hawaii Tobacco Quitline is here to help you throughout the quitting process. Your Quit Coach will schedule calls at your convenience during this time. You may also call in whenever you would like a little extra support.
